2006 Suzuki Forenza catalytic converter

I need to drive all the way to Dallas, Texas from San Francisco, California, with a bad catalytic converter. My Mechanic does not recommend it but i checked online and found out it's not of a big problem. Would you recommend to drive 1700 miles with the catalytic converter or should i ship my car

That would depend on what is wrong with the catalytic converter. If it is bad only because of deterioration and not clogging, it would not be a problem but if it is cloggec, it would be a bad idea to drive it far.
