The rear seatbelt is pulled out all the way and will not recoil

I pulled the seat belt all the way out to hook up a child's and now the belt will not recoil, any ideas?

If the car is on a sloping drive way this may be locking the internal mechanism, drive to a flat place and try retracting, if no good, the belt will proberbly have to be replaced as they are not repairable.
