renault espace 2006- power steering only works at revs above 2000rpm,new pump has been fitted, after old one failed

start by checking the fluid level is correct and no air getting into system

Thanks Dave H. We are monitoring fluid levels, which are constant. Some suggestion is that the replacement pump may be faulty, or the pressure it provides at low revs, is not enough to turn the steering.
