When must oil be added? The "oil light" has not gone on, but when I check the oil level it is approaching the Bottom indicator. I bought the car used about 5 months ago and have driven about 1,000 miles.

all cars will "use" some oil, known as blowby. this is normal. some can use a quart every three thousand miles. if your oil is fairly clear, top it off and note the mileage. check it again regularly and see how fast it goes. then call a few Porsche dealers and ask if your findings are normal
