I recently took out the stock stereo to replace it with an after market stereo. But instead of buying an adapter that plugs into the harness i cut the wires. Is there any way i can hook up the after market without the adapter for the new radio.

the after market radio should have a connector with bare wires to connect to. there are 3 different radios this diagram is for 6 speaker.

You made a mess for yourself. The first step will be to splice the original connectors back in. GM had a huge problem with cd laser pickup failures in the '90s, and when they figured out too many people were installing aftermarket radios for less than half the cost of having the original one repaired at one of their two grossly-overpriced repair centers, they cleverly built the Body Computer into them so they can't be removed from the car. You will need to buy a "radio relocation kit". That will allow you to mount the original radio under a seat or in the trunk, then you can connect just the speaker wires to your new radio.
