I think I answered this, but we are having trouble with the site tonight, so I will try again. The only other way is through the engine's throttle body then into the intake then the motor.

There's a certain time that both valves are open -called valve overlap this is where it can sneak in/exhaust stroke

To end this thread-whether the engine is running or not-the water will enter it thru the TB and the exhaust system BTW How high is the flood

IF IT SAT THERE A WHILE (SAID YOU PARKED IN A FLOODED AREA)---MAYBE THE PAN OR OTHER SEALS ARE NOT SEALING---WATER JUST LEAKED INTO CRANK CASE

AS WITH ANY WATER RISING THAT IS NOT PURE---DID IT LEAVE A WATER MARK OR DIRTY LINE ON THE BODY? IF SO, MAY BE ABLE TO GAUGE THE DEPTH

MANDY---YOU NEED ONE OF THESE!

REALLY, SOMETHING SIMILAR---I WOULD NEVER TURN LOOSE OF EITHER OF MINE!

I BELIEVE I WOULD DO AN OIL CHANGE AND MONITOR THE OIL'S "LOOKS" FOR A WHILE.

ARE YOU RUNNING NOW?

MAYBE IT'S NOTHING BAD LIKE A HEAD GASKET....MAYBE IT JUST SLIPPED IN THRU THE CRACKS LIKE I SUGGESTED

WITH A RIG LIKE MINE--YOU ALWAYS HAVE THE CANOE OPTION!

OH YEAH, MEANT TO SAY, LOOK FOR OIL LEAKS, EVEN SMALL ONES---IF THE OIL CAN GET OUT, THEN WATER COULD GET IN

Let me ask you this were you leaking oil at anytime prior to the flood-I find it hard to believe that H2O will sneak in there below the exhaust manifold unless its leaking oil from the front cove and crankcase area-Have done any checking?

i have never notice any leaks i have always checked my oil every month. i have been checking it everyday. it does start and run. but i have not drove it since that happened because of that oil. it is parked. should i change my oil and filter 2 or 3 times. like change it than let it run for alittle bit and change them again?
