Yes, it will not only get worse but it will damage steering components also. You need to replace both the pads and rotors and inspect caliper operation.

Just to add to this one here is another way to try to fix it find a machine shop or auto parts store that turns rotors aka true and refinish them if there thick enough and that will save you some money over replacing them.Also if your van has rear shoes for stopping make sure you adjust the rear brakes up to help prevent warping the front rotors again.

I have to disagree with Saturntech on this one. Yes, there is a resurfacing limit but my experience has shown me that when a customer gets a distortion like this, it's a reflection on how the car is driven and tell me that the rotors are seeing extreme heat. If the rotors are resurfaced, the finished product is now more susceptible to distortion that the original was and the problem will usually return twice as fast and twice as severe. With the price of rotors these days, it's not worth spending money to resurface them. It usually costs 75% of what new ones would cost to resurface the old ones and then you may have to buy the new ones anyway when it happens again.

Wrenchtech could be right if you driving the van with short stops tail gating etc you could warp a new set of rotors as well as turned set.But 75 percent of the price of a new rotor to turn it?For my saturn S models it cost 10 to turn each rotor and about 17 plus tax which is about 50 percent.But in this vans case its 10 to turn and about 40 for each plus tax for each rotor so that is less then 25 percent of the price to replace it.

I just got a price of $25 each for new rotors. Most shops will charge around .5hr to machine 2 rotors which can be $20 to $30 each easily. $10 rotor cuts aren't very common these days. Even $10 is too much if they have to be replaced again shortly. It's just not worth doing any more.

Iam sorry i was still talking about taking the rotors to the auto parts store like in my first response and agreed if they were really hard on there brakes they would warp them no matter what 25 is a good price for the rotors i just checked auto zone real quick for that 40 price.Hope you and your family have a wonderful easter.
