puddle of water in the off side rear passenger footwell?

due to the recently wet weather i have notice a puddle of water in the off side rear passenger footwell, the back seat is wet and there also water in the boot. This has never happened before in the two years i have had my car.

It sounds like you have leaking rear glass seal.
As you only notice the leak after the rain, the seal around the glass is likely dry rotted and allowing water to go inside the vehicle.
The solution would be to install a new seal with sealant. The best option is to remove the glass completely and clean the surface or any dirt or debris as well as old epoxy material.
Then install the glass with the new seal by using a strong sealant like urethane.
