You would need a ratchet and a torques socket to release the tension. While looking at the crank. The tensioner is on the right side #3 on the diagram. Where you install the torque socket is on #4 and go ant clockwise to release the tension and remove the belt. Reverse order to install. This video will show you how

My poly belt tension-er broke and I am replacing. All belt diagrams I find show only one poly serpentine belt, but I took two belts out of my car.
What is routing for two poly belts?

There are two belts. Neither of these diagrams indicate two belts.
Both belts were off the pulleys when I opened th good, so I am still trying to confirm what each belt drives.

Yes I know that but it gives you the option of a/c or no ac does the smaller pulley drive the act alone? , can you align the pulleys by eye and tell me what each belt drives?

By eyeball, one covers crankshaft/ water pump/ power steering pump/ AC compressor, plus tensioner.
The other covers crank/ supercharger/ alternator/ idler pulley, plus tensioner.
One belt is almost twice the length of the other.

i put that VIN into Mitchell one data base and came up with not very much, it did show a poor line drawing of the 2 belt system but no detail, i am still looking, but it is proving to be quite hard to nail down.

Mechanic recommended to replace belt as it appeared old and never done. I had no noise problems prior to replacing belt. But from the moment I picked up vehicle it made a loud screeching/squealing noise when I accelerate. I called him right back and he said it cant be the belt and must be something else. I took it back and he tried my old belt again and another new belt and he claims the noise is still present. His final answer was that its relating to the a/c compressor/clutch stating clutch part doesn't turn at same time - i dont understand any of this. All i know is I had no squeak problem prior to replacing belt. Any help is appreciated. The noise is kind of embarassing.
