How do I change rear disk pads 2 wheel drive?

Upon stopping I have a hard brake pedal and if I have to stop quick it tends to pull generally to the right. what could it be?

Brake caliper not releasing or applying. Stop on a slight incline, shift to neutral, release the brakes, then see if the vehicle creeps down hill on its own. If not, place a block about a foot down hill from one tire, then crawl underneath and open the bleeder screws on the calipers. If doing that lets the brakes release, the best suspect is a constricted rubber flex hose.

What is the process to remove the rear brake drums for inspection of the lining?

If there are any screws in the hub of the drum, remove them first. (However I don't believe there are any)

The drum should then slide off. If it doesn't budge, hit the hub of the drum with a hammer and rotate the drum until it loosens off.
