2006 Kia Rio Camshaft sensor A bank 1

Camshaft sensor is at drivers side rear of valve cover beneath air filter box outlet tube. It is a inline engine so so it only has one bank. Its a description pertaining to one specific code used for all Kia engines. Also try changing fule filter since it was run low on fuel.

Also Kia are bad about breaking timing belts around 100,000 miles. If it seemed to just die and wouldn't restart, your timing belt could have broken and the PCM cannot recognize any camshaft movement for fuel timing and ignition timing since the cam sensor runs off the overhead camshaft. If it did break then you would need to replace the motor because the valves would have contacted the pistons causing bent valves and destroyed pistons.

You need to check why it wont start first, do you have compression, spark. fuel pressure and injection pulse?

Yes I replace the whole fuel pump assembly first. Then I replaced the cam shaft position sensor, still nothing. I'm thinking about taking the timing belt cover off and checkin it out this evening, other than that... I have no Idea what it could be

let me know if you have good compressions, and spark and injection pulse, has it ever had a timing belt changed?
