2006 Kia Optima Charging problem

Alternator (it is new and verified good) is not charging. All fuses are good, connections are good. I have very low voltage (less than 4 volts) to the field wire with the ignition on. I applied 12 volts to the field wire via a jumper wire and alternator will not charge. I understand it could be the pcm but I am trying to rule that out. Should any of the four (4) wires at the connector to the alternator be a ground? What voltage (if any) should each of the 4 wires have? Each wire is colored. Any help?

I am showing 5 wires, pink, blue, black/orange, green and white. The white is a fusible link. Have you confirmed that it is good and not blown? Take a look at the trouble shooting chart I attached and let me know if it helps.

Thanks for responding Jacob. Yes the large white wire is good. The trouble shooting chart did not help. The charge warning indicator light does come on when ignition is on, not running, but once I start the engine, it goes out even though the voltage is below 12 volts.

here is what I've got. The battery has 12.4 volts

Okay, sorry I didn't get back sooner. It was late when I replied last night. Well I'm back.

I have to ask, are there any trouble codes in the computer?

Also, I am going to provide terminal numbers of the harness at the alt for you to check voltages.

Terminal 3 should have between 9 and 10 volts.

If it isn't within spec, check the alternator sensor for connection.

Let me know what you find.

No codes in computer. Should voltage be present with key on or key off? .... Also, the battery indicator light is now not working at all. As I stated in earlier post, it was working with key on, then immediately turn off when engine was started, even though the voltage was low. Now the battery indicator light does not come on at all......... Thinking I may have a PCM issue here????
