car noises

my 2006 Kia optima is making a loud tapping sound when i start the car. It has enough oil. someone said it could be a cylinder is misfiring.

Valve clearances on this is a shim type, so no filters to be noisy, i would be getting the oil pressure check at cold start, it may be that the oil filter is draining back over night and the noise in a bit of engine knock while pressure builds up, if the car has not been serviced for a while do this as well and use a quality filter with an anti drain back valve fitted, start here.
