fuel pomp makes noise

Hi the electric fuel pomp of my trajet makes a strange noice. I already changed the pomp and filter for gasoil but it makes no difference.
Called a garage and they said the pomp has to force to work. Any idea why the pomps needs to force ? is there a filter in the gasoil tank ?

I don't believe there is a fuel filter in the tank. THere is one inline. Also, check the fuel pressure regulator to make sure it is working properly. If it is allowing fuel to run too freely, the pump will have to work harder to keep up with demands.
