Is there anything else that will not work if horn fuse is blown? 2006 Hyundai Elantra. Would also like to know precisely which fuse is the horn fuse?

Hello,

The fuse is located under the hood in the fuse panel here is a guide to help you check for power with the fuse panel diagrams below.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed. Cheers

Hello,

Just bought this used '02 Elantra and the horn does not work. I have already ruled out the fuse, relay, and horn. Would the next place to check be the horn switch in the steering wheel?

Thanks!

Sorry it took so long to respond, but I havent been getting my email alerts to say i got response to questions i have answered. The black wire to the horn should be a constant ground. The pink wire to horn should have power when pressing the horn button.

The horn stopped working on our 2003 Hyundai Elantra. I checked the 15 amp fuse and it is good. I suspect it is the horn. I went and bought a generic horn and it has two hook ups for two wires. The current hook-up to the original horn was a casing that slid into the horn. I'm a little skeptical to cut this wire and re-wire the new horn.

Can anyone help me here with replacing the horn on a 2003 Hyundai Elantra???

Thanks in advance.

cut out the plug. just crimp on the new wires, its real easy. it does not matter the connection colors, they will work in either way.

Thanks for your reply Tim. It's a Fiamm replacement horn. It came with only one female blade connector and a jumper wire. Do you know if the 2003 Hyundai Elantra is a single wire installation or a two wire installation???

i use this universal horn on every car. if your current horn has 2 wires then connect 2 wires to the horn. if it has one wire then attach the one wire and use the jumper wire and connect it to ground.

i had to change my horn last year and it was working fine. no it doesn't work. the horn does work if i just touch the wires to the battery. when i press the horn on the steering column i used to hear the sound of the relay clicking. (when i have the hood up and the cover removed from the fuse box). now i do not hear the clicking sound anymore. i change the relay. is there another fuse some place? i do not see anythng for horn fuse in the fuse box in the cabin.

Does the A/C work? My reference shows the one fuse controls A/C and the horn.

The horn on my 99 Elantra worked one day, then didn't work the next. I looked for a fuse, but couldn't find one labeled "horn". Does the horn share a fuse with something else?

you hear a relay clicking when you push the button?

i woudl suspect a bad relay first of all, but if thtas not it i would be checking the horn button because it was intermitten.
