My 78 year old mom (Yes, she still drives very well at 78) recently had some minor collision (not her fault) work done at our local Hyundai dealer. When she picked it up they had written up several additional items they were recommending she have done bases on their "Free Multi Point Inspection".
Most of them look like standard maintenance like brake flush, power steering flush, etc.
But one of them has me puzzled. They are recommending replacement of the rear transmission mount stopper. I'm not a mechanic so I have no idea what this is. I'm wondering if this is just another pricey "upsell" like the other recommended items or if this is really something that needs to be done. The car does not exhibit any transmission problems or noises.
