I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey that is making a noise at 1900 rpm's and quits at 2200 rpm's. I have taken it to a dealer and they said its an internal transmission noise. It sounds like a cover vibrating. I have been under it and found nothing loose. What could it be?

hard to say without us hearing it. you need to give the dealer the benfit of the doubt. if you dont believe him, go somewhere else and get a second opinion.

Could it be the torque converter and will it be alright to drive on a 2400 mi trip?

i have no idea as we cannot hear the noise. if it is the converter, no would be the answer. it will not stay the same and will get worse and may cause a break down. as i suggested, get a second opinion.
