2006 GMC Sierra Transmission shift issue

2 days ago blew trans cooler line, had Trans Hot message appear, immediately stopped saw leak. Replaced lines, added 4 qts of fluid to top off. Now trans will not shift pass second gear. I doesn't seem 4 qt low would destroy trans . Any ideas

When was the last time the trans was serviced. With loosing that much it may have loosened up some junk in the trans. Don't remember if there is a filter outside of the transmission or not. Best thing is to service the transmision and get filter changed.
