I was told I need special tools to change the front disc brake pads on a 2006 GMC Canyon 4X4 pick-up. Is the caliper removal any more difficult than any other vehicle?

there is no specialty tool needed to replace front brake pads on this truck, who told you that? caliper replacement is same as any other basic brake set up and no specialty tools are needed to replace calipers either..
