Will a 2007 Ford Fusion motor work in a 2006?

Hi,
It may fit in the vehicle but it doesn't appear it will work with wiring and modules. A 2.3L was not offered from what I can see in 2007 which means the PCM and other important modules will recognize this engine. Normally, you would just swap the modules but again, this will not work due to it not being offered. If it were me, I would not attempt this. Sorry I don't have better news.
