rear axle hub retainer nut?

what are the torque specs on the nut that holds rear axle hub and bearings in place? and do I need a special tool for this job. and what is the gear lube that I will need to refill axle housing. why does this have to be so long

This job you need to be very careful of becasue if you over tighten the nut you will ruin the bearings here is a great video that show the job being done.

You'll need to open the differential housing to push the axle out.

Shakes or Wobbles problem
2001 Ford F350 V8 Four Wheel Drive 88000 miles

F350 4x4 Dual real wheels - 4:10 axle with traction lok. When I turn sharp in 1st gear (auto trans) feel vibration and hear clicking/popping/ringing sound from rear wheels (both sides). This is in forward or reverse. Stops as I speed up to 5-7 mph. Only happens when going very slow and turning right or left. Bought this truck yesterday and did not notice this until I got home. Change the rear end oil and add the friction modifier additive, this will lubricate the clutch packs in the axle, eliminating the popping...
