Transmission whine

expedition is making a whining sound when I put it into gear and while driving, forward and reverse.But no whine in park or neutural.Any ideas?

Kinda hard to determine a whine over the computer, can you pinpoint a location? If it is the trans area, check the level and condition of the trans fluid, if the whine is under the hood, check power steering fluid, usaully though power steering low, would whine all the time, those are just a couple thoughts.
