2006 Dodge Stratus Advice on Engine Replacement

Hi. I have a 2006 Dodge Stratus (SXT), which has a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. Because of some engine issues I've been having, I'm considering getting another engine (or car); but if I were to get a new (or used) engine, I just have one question.

QUESTION: Do you know if a 6 cylinder or V6 engine would fit/work in an '06 Dodge Stratus? I realize the 4 cylinder REALLY saves gas; however, if a 6 cylinder or V6 could fit into my car, then great!

it would probably fit with a lot of modifications but the computer and sensor for your engine won't so not monetarily worth it.
