I can't get my transmission to shift past 1st gear

i have a 2006 dodge charger 3.5L my car was getting towed to a mechanic because of electrical issues since the car had no electricity i had to manually put the car in neutral to get towed, after electrical problems where fixed the car started up fine but would not shift past first gear can you please help

it may have to have the trans control module flashed since it lost its memory.
was there any issue before the battery issue??
