Blower fan does not work. If you hit a bump or slam the passenger door the fan may go on for a short while.

Also looked at the blower under dash. Where is the blower resistor?

Hi Jim, Thanks for the Donation. The Resistor is hiding behind the blower motor.... You can use your CTRL and "+" to zoom in to read better..

You stated in your original post that

"Blower fan does not work. If you hit a bump or slam the passenger door the fan may go on for a short while."

I t could be the Resistor or just a loose connection on the blower motor or the resistor.

I have a 2006 Chevy Equinox. The blower for the heat/ac is not working. The actual heat and ac are working there is just nothing blowing it out. Is this something that can be repaired inexpensively? Does this require taking my car to the dealer for repair? What should or could I check myself before taking it somewhere?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a blower motor that is out but to be sure we need to check for power at the blower. Here is a guide that will give you an idea on how to check for the problem. There is also a blower motor relay that you can check as well.
