Whenever I start my car there is a whistling sound that fluctuates sporadically for a few minutes and then eventually disappears. I have tested and noticed that the sound will start every time I start my vehicle both when the vehicle has been driven all day and when it's just being started for the first time that day. I've located the sound to be (when sitting in the driver seat) under the right side of the car just past half way closer towards the rear tire. I will try to describe the sound as best I can; high pitched, lasts approximately less than 5 minutes, fluctuates almost like a "reving" action, does not fluctuate along with the same pattern or timing as the vehicles idle, and if you would like I could make a recording as best I can of the sound for you. There has been no noticeable loss of power or changes in the vehicles performance; however, I have only become aware of the sound within the past year and it may very well have been present when I first bought the vehicle. After doing a little research on my part I am going to be replacing two of the gaskets that are located on the exhaust coming off the engine for a cheap fix to see if by chance that my be a solution. I do not feel, however, that will be very promising considering that the gaskets I will be replacing are not in the same location as the sound, but we will see.
