turn on car aircon getting loud?

Can you describe the noise little bit?
Is it from the inside of outside of the cabin?
Keep in mind that when you turn on the AC and at a stop the radiator fans will come on to keep the A/C performing the way it is supposed to. Which can be noticeably loud.

If it from inside the cabin, then it could be the blower fan rubbings against the housing.
