2006 SRX noise

2006 SRX on occasion makes a "whine" or "whistling" noise, always with AC on. Doesn't last long just quite annoying. Any idea what the problem might be?

could be belt or ac clutch noise. when does it do it exactly? you could try bein under hood when noise occurs?

I have never heard the noise. Also left off critical information - sound appears to come from the rear of the car. Possibly rear AC? It is an odd sound, and it never lasts for more than 5-10 seconds at a time, and may go for days or weeks without showing back up again.
