OUR 2006 BMW 530XI HAS BEEN OVERHEATING. WE CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT AND THE MECHANICS ARE NOW BLEEDING THE SYSTEM. THEY DID SAY THEY FOUND A CRITTER'S NEST UP THERE SNUGGLY BY THE RADIATOR.IT WAS STILL OVERHEATING WITH THE THERMOSTAT.SHOULD THE RADIATOR BE FLUSHED OR DO YOU THINK AN ANIMAL COULD BE LODGED UP IN THERE? I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO AND THEY HAVE HAD THE CAR NOW FOR 4 DAYS.HELP! MICHELLE

The problem might be the critter, what was the damage done, if any? Sometimes the rodent damage is chewing through stuff, sometimes blocking airflow. Having just advised a local shop on the correct bleeding and start-up procedure for the same (or similar) make and model, I have a concern that the repair facility you have the car at may be ignorant of these procedures.
