AC not working right

The ac cant work and blow hot air not how it works. So one thing at a time ac first. So does the clutch on the compressor click on and spin? The system might have too much pressure here is a guide to help us.

I had this problem and the compressor was locking up, had to get a new one cost me $278.00 all fixed.

I had to have my Torque converter repaired, my air conditioner was working fine. The repair shop had to remove the converter for repair, mechanic says they had to disconnect battery. When I got my car back it drives great but now the air conditioner is blowing warm air. I return car to shop they checked all the air contioner components and said they could not find any problem, mechanic suggested it might be a computer issue, coolant level was fine pressure was fine what could it be

If they pulled the trans in that car, they had alot of parts off it.I would take it back and have them fix it.They will try to back out, but if you know the air worked before, let the manager know that and tell him they need to repair whatever they did.

I am aware that they are going to try to get out of it but do you have any idea what it could be so i can give them an idea what to look for or do I have to go to the dealer and try to get them to fix it. There a trans shop i dont know how they are with air conditioner

They may have left a connector unplugged for the pressure switch, this wont allow the compressor to engage.

After about 1 hour of use, the air con goes all wrong. Hot air starts to blow out of one or two vents instead of cool air. Tha garage ran a diagnostic but found nothing wrong and all they did was top up the a/c fluid. I suspect that the sensors are going wrong when they get too hot. Any advice?

I would be checking that the A/C condenser fan is working correctly as if this is failing the system can over heat and shut down, start here.

Hi all, I hope someone can help me with my air con problem on my audi a6 saloon 2001 1.9tdi.

Some times the ECON light come on automatic by itself when i am driving along and it will not go off.

The only way i manage to solve it is by switching off the ignition and turn it back on. Sometimes i have to try a few times before it goes off.

Do you think it could be i need to top up the coolant?
PLEASE HELP....
I have ask the dealer over the phone and not very helpful. All they told me is book it in and we will check it and the cost is well over the 100pounds plus mark.

The On Board Diagnostic (OBD) has sensed something wrong and you need a scanner to scan for the trouble codes.

Air Conditioning problem

The air conditioning in the car works great when the car is moving, but as soon as I stop at a light or sit with car on the air slowly gets warm. What is causing it to do this and what do I need to fix?

The compressor needs to be checked with a set of manifold gauges, it's either low on R-134a, or the condenser up in front of the radiator, needs to be cleaned, or the compressor itself is weak! The gauges will tell which!
