Hello. My CVT transmission leaked oil through one of the cooling hoses.

I took the car to the mechanic, he removed the TCM module and I sent it to repair which some seller from Ebay installed a kit that wont make it shoot the trouble code it is prone to do. My mechanic had replaced one of the pulleys with its bearings. He installed the transmission, and now the car struggles to shift properly. At first it wouldn't shift to reverse. Now it just struggles to shift smoothly as it's supposed to.

My mechanic is saying that it might be TCM since he tried to reset it and it wouldn't respond. I called the Ebay seller and he said it is "IMPOSSIBLE to need additional programming on the TCM since it is the same one from the same car. If the TCM comes from another car, then it needs programming. And it does not affect shifting."

His theory and my mechanic's theory has been bouncing around and I don't know who to believe anymore.

I have a youtube video showing how it sounded before the "repair".

I will REALLY appreciate the help on this issue. I can donate more if I get a really good answer. Thanks!

Something is wrong with the control system and are there any the trouble codes present now?
Check the TPS performance.

You need to check for trouble codes since there are warning indicator lights showing.

Ok, I went to see the car and got some trouble codes.

P0811- POWERTRAIN
Excessive Clutch Slippage

P0706- POWERTRAIN
Transmission Range sensor circuit range/performance.

Blinking PRNDS lights.

I tried the car a bit and now it shifts better, but it still slips.

P0706 - is a fault with the transmission range switch adjustment or wirer connectors. This results in the PRNDS lihts blinking. Check the switch adjustment.

As to P0811, I could not find any information on it . Can you reconfirm the code?

Attached screenshot of the codes. The car is "slipping" on shifts. I hope its not a Dead TCM.

The picture is not loading correctly so I can't see anything.

You should be checking the PNP switch first as any fault with it can cause problems with shifting.

For P0813 it is the shift solenoids that is faulty and P0811 code is nearby so it could be similar.
