I have a 2005 tundra and thinking about installing a cold air intake, dual exhaust and possibly a computer chip to boost hp and fuel economy. can you give me some insight on whether this is a good idea or not?

It's a good way to dispose of a lot of cash but I wouldn't expect much from it. The dual exhaust would help if you didn't have the converters to deal with but unfortunately, you do. The rest of that stuff just makes money for the people that sell it. Although the computer chip can change the operating program, it can't give you both power and fuel mileage. They just contradict each other and any changes like that would be against federal law to do on vehicles driven in the US.

I have same truck in just doing dual exhaust with the cats and k n cold air intake I gained 34 to. Friend put it on dyno before after 284 to before after 318 . I'm going to be getting a tune for it soon once I figure this electrical issue I'm dealing with. Not sure where you live but where I'm at I've never had a issue with the feds wanting to look at my car. It is illegal but what isn't now.
