Click noises during acceleration/breaking and weight transfers

I have a Reno S manual transmission. I am now hearing a Click or "ticking" noise coming from outside the vehicle when I accelerate or brake and sometimes turning...it will "Click" once or sometimes a couple clicks. I was thinking a tie rod or sway bar might be coming loose. Just past inspection, but still hear this click. Noticed it after driving from PA to North carolina and some 1hr standstill traffic which was hard on my manual tranny. stop, go stop go then I noticed the clicking. Clutch plate?
