torque converter replacement?

I am trying to replace the transmission on my forenza but I cant get a socket, wrench or nothing on to the torque converter bolts to loosen them is there a tool or method to get them off? Btw I have everything else disconnected and the trans is ready to drop but I cant get them bolts off

did you take the starter off? they have to be removed form the starter hole. it may take a thin wall socket to reach them.

I was unable to remove the torque converter bolts through the starter hole - but the starter does need to be removed. I removed the oil pan and had plenty access to the bolts once that was out of the way. When cleaning up the engine I discovered an access port about the middle (height-wise) of the front of the engine (assuming the starter is at the back) with a rubber 'door' on it that you can just pull out using the little handle in the middle that lines up well with the torque converter bolts and I'm sure is designed to give access.

We are trying to replace the torque converter on this car. Having purchased a new torque converter for it, is there anything else that we may need for the job?

Replace the bolts with the correct ones. See images below. That is a service bulletin from Suzuki. Good luck on the job.

May want to check or replace the rear main seal while you are right there.
