i have a 2005 pontiac grand am and i replaced the fuel pressure regulator and after doing that started my car and it reves 3500 to 4000 rpm and will not go down

sounds like you left off a vacuum line re check your work

Thank you for responding Roy i did make sure i put the vacuum lines back where they went to the one to the regulator the one right next to it that connects to the air intake manifold and the one that goes to the vavle cover and one that goes to just before the throttle body. now while i was getting the old one off and putting the new one on i did have to hold the throttle open to get a wrench in there

which plate are you referring to the circle plate inside the throttle body
