alarm

my "unlock" button on my remote no longer works. all other buttons work fine. is there a way to disable my 2005 pontiac g6 built in alarm, perhaps on the information center? or what can i do to tweak the remote? I have had apart and changed the battery.

Some times the circuit board in the remote fails. You could take the remote apart and see if one of the soldering points have come a loose. Sometimes they can be soldered back in place, sometimes not.

You could always by pass the alarm system by using your key. But you don't want to just unplug your alarm or your computer may disable the ignition. You'll have to go to an alarm tech for that.
