Driver's side power window quit working with no warning. Other buttons on the switch panel work fine. An online Nissan mechanic walked me through trying to find the problem, and while checking for voltage on the switch block with meter probe, the window suddenly starting working again.
Technician suggested it was either faulty wiring, micro control unit or switch panel going bad.
Window worked for a few days then quit again. Against better judgement, I paid the dealer $102 for a new switch, and of course after I installed it the window still doesn't work. I checked the incoming harness for voltage, and received readings on three slots. All of the other slots in the switch registered null. Am I right in assuming if the panel runs 4 functions, I should get positive readings on 4 wires?
This model has a dual operation switch for manual and auto up and down, a RH window button, a power door lock button, and a universal lock switch.
Should I just bite the bullet and bring it into a repair shop??0
Thanks
