2005 c230 kompressor esp electrical problem what could be causing it, some say its the voltage regulator

Car has Battery / Alternator light on dash visit workshop, ESP not avaliable on dash,lights get dim and flash, radio goes dead, the car goes into limp home mode but then starts acting normal.

Could be a failing alternator. Could be a faulty voltage regulator (usually integral with alternator these days), bad grounds. Bad battery not accepting charge. Faulty computer. Loose connections.
