My car keep shaking! When i start the engine it keeps trembling is it the engine mounting? and if i ignore it what would happen to the car?

What is the idling speed?
If it is mountings that are bad, the engine won't come off but wirings gets brittle as they age and can be damaged by the excessive vibrations or shifting of the engine.
CV shafts would be subjected to additions knocks wne up or down shifting.
