I am trying to register my car and I have to smog it first. It will not pass smog because the check engine light is on due to the error code P0108 manifold absolute pressure sensor/circuit too high. I had someone look at it and they could only find a MAF sensor not a MAP sensor so I took it to AutoZone and read the computer again and it gave the same error code P0108, but the recommended repair parts were a new EGR valve and EGR gasket. I am really confused. Does this car even have a MAP sensor? And if it does where is it located? And why would AutoZone's computer recommend a new EGR valve? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hello,

This car does not have an EGR or MAP sensor so I am not sure whats going on with that code. Can we regather the codes to make sure it is correct? Here is a guide you can get a scanner for about $20.00 from Amazon:

Please run down this guide and report back.

I have read the computer with three different scanners. They all say the same thing.

P0108 - MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE/BAROMETRIC PRESSURE CIRCUIT HIGH.

I have seen this code get triggered when the catalytic converter starts to clog up. Here is a guide to help you confirm the issue:
