Air Blender Actuator replacement, how many Air Blender Actuators does this vehicle have?

If you are referring to blend air door actuators, there is one for the left and one for the right side. See pics 1 and 2 below. If you have rear heat/AC, there is a blend air actuator on that assembly as well. See pic 3.

Now, the mechanic mentioned, "There are more ie defrosters..." Those actuators are for airflow direction and not temperature. They are called mode door actuators and change the airflow from defrost, to the floor, to the vents, and so on.

Overall, there are two blend air door actuators under the front dash and one for the rear which is located in the right rear of the vehicle.

I first noticed the (driver's side) vents are blowing warmer air and with less pressure than the passenger side vents. The passenger side vents work well, and cooling temperature seems ok. Additionally, the rear passenger vents (separate controls), one actuator is clicking loudly.

If you are hearing a clicking sound, chances are it is an actuator. When they make them, plastic gears are used internally that strip and cause them to stop working and most times make a clicking sound.

Let me know which one you think it is. If it is in the rear, is it related to air temperature or airflow direction?

Rear - I have to turn the temperature up and the clicking goes away. I turn the temperature down, the clicking starts.

Front - Temperature is warmer on the left side (using A/C) than the right. The left appears to have less power than the right side.

Sometimes when I use the heater it blows cold air. I have to mess with it to get the heat working. Ultimately it will work.

Hi,

For sure, the rear sounds like the blend air door actuator. The front does as well, but the idea the airflow isn't as strong leads me to it being between positions. Hence, the mode actuator isn't working properly.

Regardless, if you are getting cold air with the heater on, the blend air door is the most likely cause.
