this problem has gotten progressively worse for the last couple of years:
from a stop hit the gas, nothing happens, tap the pedal, eventually it catches and car lurches forward.
at idle speeds like sitting still or 40 mph car coughs and chokes and runs at a very low idle
from cruising speed come to a stop and try to immediately go again, nothing happens when i hit the gas leaving me in an intersection stopped

vsc and check engine light come back on no matter what is repaired,
recent repairs:

cam sensor replaced
oxygen sensors replaced
throttle body cleaned
mass airflow sensor cleaned
timing belt and water pump replaced
valve cover gaskets
front crank seal
cam seals
spark plugs, tubes and wires
also front 2 catalytic converters blew out into the back one and clogged it completely shutting down the car. replaced the back catalytic convertor

the code was on for the cam sensor and the oxygen sensors so they were replaced
