Bought Sedona used, drove it about a week. Absolutely no problems!!! Then I checked the fluid levels, had to add a quart of oil (5W30 regular oil). Within a few days, oil light began flickering, occasional ticking sound when light stayed on for short periods. Then did complete oil change, used 10W30 regular oil with new filter. Problem went away for about a week, then returned. Parked van, then after a week did another oil change with 10W30 synthetic, new filter. Problem again went away, seemed to have fixed the problem. Now it's back, less than 1000 miles on new oil, not evidence of particles, trash in oil on dip stick. This vehicle is super to drive, excellent acceleration, nice road handling. I'm trying to find out what is going on with this vehicle, so if anyone has any suggestions, please respond. I have been wondering if the oil pump in these vehicles are electrical or mechanical. I discovered the other problem with the van was someone had replaced the battery terminal, it was too large, allowing it to wiggle loose off the post. I fixed that problem, but am beginning to wonder if that could have affected the oil sending unit, thereby causing problems with the oil pump.
