Should I leave my car running?

You'll have to figure out why the battery died. Is the alternator any good-Is there 13.8-14.2 volts at the battery with the engine running? If not, you'll need to change the alternator. Have the battery tested, before deciding it needs to be changed. You may find out you left something on and the battery is fine.

When you get it jumped started make sure the alternator is doing its job before you replace the battery and also could be a short circuit draining the battery

Hi thanks for the response. I am positive it is the battery because it actually has been acting up the past couple of weeks. At first I thought it was because I accidently left a light on running, which was true. I got it jumped and started fine. But today, there was nothing left running and it still wouldn't start.

Check the connections.
