engine is surging

when stopped at lights, signs etc. the engine surges trying to push the car forward like I still have my foot on the gas. Problem started when I found a vacuum line disconnected and put it back on.

try cleaning the throttle plate and iac hole with choke cleaner as the plate gets gummy and does that. clean plate on both sides.
