2005 Hyundai Sonata engine bucks misfires

I had a complete tune up. The check engine light stays on. The engine seems to buck - misfires for 1-2 minutes- sometimes just once at other times 5-6 times in a 20-30 mile ride. My mechanic cannot find out what is wrong to correct this problem.
