2005 Ford Focus Loud noise when accelerating

My car is making loud grumbles when I accelerate, but it's not exhaust at that was just cleared and it stops making the noise in neutral even when I give it gas. Also rumbles/rattles when stopped in first unless I switch to neutral or park. When in drivers seat it seems to be coming from under the right side or passenger side. Any ideas? I could really use the advice as I need it to get to and from my Moms in the Albany NY area and I'm way the hell out in Oneonta NY for school. 2005 ford focus zx5

Sure, sounds like an engine mount has let go allowing the engine to "torque" causing components to contact the underside of the car. You can inspect this by raising the hood and observing the movement of the engine while power is applied and your foot is on the brake (in gear).
