When we first bought the truck, the clutch engaged all the way out. After some driving, it went out all together. After installing a new pilot bearing, friction disk & pressure plate and bleeding the system repeatedly, it still will not disengage the engine from the transmission while the engine is running only while sitting still and the engine is off.

Any ideas?

We are sure the friction disk is installed correctly and is aligned correctly. We are sure the clutch line has no air in it.

Slave cylinder?
Master cylinder?

Thank you.
It gets harder as it gets closer to the floor and requires pumping to get any semblance of disengagement.

So its completely different than the now you have limp pedal since you replaced the clutch? How did you bleed it?Also no leaks on the clutch system?Thats weird that the pedal was hard all the way down and now its soft almost all the way down.

Its probably different feels by different people. I test drove it and my brother bought it. the clutch went out on him. He has had several craigslist mechanics who did the removal, replacement and bleeding. we have verified that the disk is installed correctly no air is in the line. the only cocomponents that haven't been replaced are the slave and master cylinders.

If everything is installed right and the system is bled correctly then you have a failed clutch master and or clutch slave. If there are no leaks without checking the pressure of the master its kinda hard to tell which has failed.I would replace both if it was my truck.
