Hello,
The ALDL connector is on the driver side facing downward. Here is a guide that will help you with the scan and the location of the connector below:

Six cylinder four wheel drive automatic 42,000 miles.
Where is the computer diagnostic connector located? Does not seem to be under the steering wheel where I would expect to find it.

The ALDL data link connector is at the bottom of the dash edge on the drivers side. Here is a guide to help you run the codes:
