Here are the locations for both a 2.3L engine or a 3.0L. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Pulled a P0106 code, I was told the map sensor needs to be replaced. I have a four cylinder 2.3L and I am not entirely sure where the MAP sensor is or what it looks like. I am trying to purchase a replacement one. Thanks.

This car has a MAP and MAF sensors. Here is a guide to help you with the MAF and a diagrams below that shows the MAP location:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-a-mass-air-flow-sensor-maf

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

USER NOTES: If this is a 2.3 then the oil filter is in the wrong place, I have a 2008 hybrid 2.3, I have changed the oil filter several times, any that filter is on the front of the motor, not the back as displayed here

OEM part number: 4S4Z9F479AA. However, there are plenty of aftermarkets out there probably cheaper.

Already replaced the MAP sensor with surplus MAP sensor and no more error code in the scanner. However, the idling problem still persist. What do you think is the problem? Erratic idling, rough idle when car is stationary. Car strong vibration at idle and sound skipping.

If you have an EGR valve check to see if it may be stuck open with a chunk of carbon or something. Make sure it is not being activated at idle.
Check your fuel pressure for leak down after shut off for possible injector leak.

This guide can help.

It is plugged into the intake manifold. There is an emissions sticker under the hood that shows the vacuum hose routing. The MAP sensor should be shown on that.
